Important: Understanding Your Medical Companion's Role
Please read and understand what your SurgiRides Medical Companion will and will not do.
Medical Companion WILL
- Pick you up from your address of origin
- Transport you safely to your surgical facility
- Remain in the waiting room for the ENTIRE duration of your procedure
- Transport you home or to your destination after your procedure
- Provide compassionate, professional support throughout the trip
Medical Companion WILL NOT
- Enter the examination or surgical room — EVER
- Enter your home or any private residence
- Leave the waiting room while your procedure is in progress
- Provide any medical assistance or advice
- Act as a medical professional in any capacity
- Run errands for the client — the companion's role is limited to transporting the client to their appointment, waiting in the waiting room, and transporting the client to their final destination
How SurgiRides Works
For Patients
Book in Advance
Search available Medical Companions by date and location. Choose a vetted companion that fits your needs.
Secure Payment
Pay the $275 booking fee. Funds are held in escrow until your round trip is complete.
Day of Surgery
Your Medical Companion picks you up, takes you to your facility, and waits in the waiting room the entire time.
Confirm Completion
Both you and your Medical Companion confirm the round trip is complete to release payment from escrow.
For Medical Companions
Apply & Get Verified
Submit your driver's license, vehicle insurance, and consent to a background check.
Set Your Availability
Choose the dates you're available. A 5-hour block is reserved per booking.
Accept Bookings
Get matched with clients, confirm their pick-up, wait in the waiting room throughout their procedure.
Earn $150 Per Trip
Once the round trip is confirmed complete, $150 is released to you from escrow.
Transparent Pricing
No hidden fees. Everything held in escrow until trip completion.
All funds are held in escrow until both the client and Medical Companion confirm the round trip is complete.
Payment can be made by Credit or Debit Card or by payment plan through Affirm or Klarna if approved.
💡 Important Pricing Note
The $275 booking fee covers the entire round trip — including pickup, waiting room time, and return transport — for up to 5 hours. If your procedure takes less than 5 hours, the fee does not decrease. You are reserving your Medical Companion's full 5-hour block so they can be present for your entire procedure, however long it takes. For comparison, many transportation services charge a similar rate per hour — SurgiRides gives you up to 5 hours for one flat fee.
