Terms Of Service

1. About SurgiRides

SurgiRides is a platform that connects patients who need transportation to and from elective surgical procedures with independent driver/chaperones. SurgiRides is not a medical provider, emergency service, or transportation carrier. We facilitate connections between clients and independent contractors.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use SurgiRides. By creating an account, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

3. Scope of Service

SurgiRides drivers/chaperones provide transportation to and from the surgical facility and will remain in the waiting area for the duration of your procedure. Drivers will not enter examination or surgical rooms, provide medical assistance, or enter a client's home. This service is for elective, non-emergency procedures only.

4. Bookings and Payments

The flat booking fee is $275, held in escrow upon payment. Funds are released to the driver ($150) and SurgiRides platform ($125) only after the round trip is confirmed complete by both parties. If the client does not confirm within 24 hours of the driver marking the trip complete, funds are automatically released.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

Clients may cancel or reschedule a confirmed booking before the driver departs. Cancellations made before trip start are eligible for a full refund. Once a driver has departed for pickup, the booking fee is non-refundable. Disputes must be reported through the in-app "Report Issue" feature.

6. Independent Contractors

All drivers on the SurgiRides platform are independent contractors, not employees of SurgiRides. SurgiRides does not control the manner in which drivers perform their services beyond the requirements of the platform agreement.

7. Driver Vetting

All drivers undergo a background check and document verification before being approved. SurgiRides reserves the right to suspend or remove any driver at its sole discretion.

8. Non-Discrimination

SurgiRides does not discriminate based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, disability, age, or geographic location. All drivers are contractually bound to the same non-discrimination policy.

9. Limitation of Liability

SurgiRides is not liable for any medical outcomes, injuries, delays, or incidents that occur during a trip. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount paid for the booking in question.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
